Fold 01 / Arrive

Give the first minutes enough room

A calm arrival creates time to see the live space, hear today's briefing and identify where questions belong before vehicles, horses, hounds and people begin to overlap.

Field note 01

Make a quiet arrival

Notice moving vehicles, ramps, held horses, hounds, people on foot, surface firmness and the clearest walking lines. Keep generous space around another person's animal until its handler invites a closer approach.

Field note 02

Hear today's briefing

Clarify who leads the activity, how changes will be communicated, where to pause and who should receive an access or welfare question. Familiar surroundings do not make yesterday's arrangements current.

Field note 03

Read sky and surface

Cloud, wind, visibility, recent rain, ground softness, shade and animal response are reasons to begin a conversation. They are not a private weather forecast or a clearance decision.

Field note 04

Agree on shared space

Blind corners, ramp travel, gate swing and narrow passages affect more than one person. If working lines conflict, stop and let those responsible reset the order.
