Fold 02 / Set down

Treat transport as its own working zone

Stable ground, clear access, calm handling and competent supervision come before speed. A static guide cannot certify a vehicle, restraint, ramp, handler, horse or hound compartment.

Field note 01

Set the transport zone

Before anything opens, look for clearance around doors and ramps, moving traffic, nearby animals, people behind the vehicle and an unhurried exit line. Confirm the position with today's responsible person.

Field note 02

Give the ramp room

The access point changes the geometry of the area. Keep people and animals away from its travel and pinch zones while a competent person uses the maker's instructions.

Field note 03

Keep the approach calm

Let the competent handler control pace and pressure. If an animal resists or the setup changes, pause and use appropriate experienced or professional help.

Field note 04

Observe secure containment

Ventilation, shade, temperature, calm behaviour and closure security deserve attention from outside the compartment. Do not open or handle another person's hound without direction.
