Observe without taking over

Hounds remain under the responsible handler's care. The useful role of a general field note is to preserve space, notice change and make a clear hand-off—not to interpret behaviour or improvise care.

Field note 01

Let the handler lead

Avoid surrounding, calling, feeding or redirecting hounds. Clear responsibility helps the handler see the whole group and reduces competing signals.

Field note 02

Hold a broad radius

Watch lateral movement, blind spots, dogs crossing direction, horse attention and changing pace. Ask the handler or organiser to reset the space when needed.

Field note 03

Notice comfort

Shade, water, ventilation, temperature and changes from calm behaviour are useful observations for the responsible handler. They are not a diagnosis or permission to treat, feed or medicate.

Field note 04

Respect the boundary

Do not handle an unfamiliar hound or use a generic app page as a training method. Animal-welfare or veterinary decisions belong with responsible and qualified people.
